Hayden

Twenty miles west of Steamboat Springs on Highway 40 is Hayden.  This is a convenient town if you do a lot of flying - the Yampa Valley Regional Airport is just a few miles east of  town.  There is 3 x daily bus service from Steamboat Springs to Hayden then continuing on to Craig. Highway 40 is a major state highway and is very well maintained throughout the summer and the winter.  

The town offers 4 eating options and even a brewery, a full grocery store, multiple businesses and gas stations.  The agricultural heritage of Hayden remains strong.  This is the HQ for the Routt County Fair.  

Housing in Hayden varies from townhomes, ranches, historic homes in town, to new construction in new developments.  

The Yampa River flows through Hayden.  West of town is the Yampa River State Park, providing fishing, boating and camping. 

Hayden offers a small town feel with +- 35 minute drive to Steamboat Springs if you want that larger town feel.
